Cocoa and white for contemporary contrast.
The striking contrast between rich cocoa and crisp white took this bathroom from tired and outdated to stylish and contemporary.
Mr. and Mrs. Lang, a married couple both in their 60’s, were fast approaching their well-deserved retirement. As part of their retirement portfolio, the Langs had purchased an investment property in Broadbeach on the Gold Coast and the time had come to sell. Having purchased the three bedroom unit many years ago, the property already showed a healthy return. However, to remain on top of a competitive real estate market, the Langs felt some improvements to the kitchen and bathroom were required but did not want to over capitalise.
“We didn’t want to go overboard,” said Mr. Lang, “The kitchen and bathroom were still in pretty good condition but were around twenty years old”.
Mrs. Lang agreed. “The bathroom was looking particularly outdated,” she said, “It definitely needed a face-lift if we were going to compete with similar apartments on the market”.
Updating can be a smart move when it comes to selling property, especially if you budget wisely. Many buyers don’t want the hassle of renovating. Modern, well-crafted kitchens and bathrooms can add thousands of dollars to the final sale price.
“We did some online research to get a few ideas for the bathroom,” said Mr. Lang. “But the more we looked, the more confused we became. In the end, we decided the best thing to do was to talk to the people at Who Bathroom Warehouse.”
As the apartment was going to be sold, Who Bathroom consultants suggested remodelling the bathroom in a modern, contemporary style in order to appeal to as many buyers as possible. To help the bathroom stand out from the crowd, our consultants suggested accent colours of rich cocoa brown set against crisp white tiling and fittings.
After discussing various options a vanity package was chosen from the Hannaford Designer Bathroom Collection. The package comprises an Elite-S 1800mm two drawer wall hung vanity cabinet with Wenge colour drawer faces, 1800mm black star quartz stone benchtop and two benchtop mount WB-538 vanity basins. From the Banff range, two tall Vaucluse mixer taps were added with highly polished chrome finishes. The sleek ‘Neilsen’ wall-faced toilet is from the William Douglas range.
Whether you’re updating your bathroom for yourself or for sale, Who Bathroom consultants are always on hand to offer expert guidance and advice.
